The fields and vines

The Bodega vinifies its own grapes from 135 hectares of vineyards. A great number of vines are over twenty-five years old and grow on privileged soils.

The main grape variety is Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) with a small percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon.

The vineyards are located in Pedrosa de Duero in the D.O. Ribera del Duero, a town with a winemaking tradition that spans over a hundred years.

The terrain is smooth and the soils are chalky-clay. It is located at an altitude of 800m above sea level.

The climate is Continental, with an Atlantic influence and an average year-round temperature of 11ºC, with an annual rainfall of about 475mm.

Our dream endures

The Bodega’s modern facilities are surrounded by vineyards and adjacent to the family’s luxuriant pine forest, sharing space with traditional elements from the area. Everything, up to the smallest detail, is carefully tended pursuing a philosophy of respect for the land and the environment.

A total of more than 8000 square metres are dedicated to maintaining optimum functionality in the vinification and ageing of wines.

Bodegas Hnos. Pérez Pascuas is equipped with facilities that allow full scope for our winemaking expertise, In our vinification we maintain a respect for the terroir to extract the grapes’ full potential thereby achieving the vineyards’ fullest expression.

The personal philosophy underlying the understanding of its wines has allowed this family bodega, a pioneer in Ribera del Duero, to exemplify a career of impeccable quality.

This company’s enviable history is the basis upon which its prestige and credibility has been founded, their highest exponent being the great vintages

… and renovates itself

The facilities are perfectly arranged to fulfil their specific winemaking functions or to enhance the appreciation of and knowledge about the wine.

Thus, the tasks to be carried out in the bodega have been optimised to the point where every person and every item has its place.

Currently, about 500,000 bottles of wine are sold in over 38 countries.

The ageing halls hold over 3300 new oak barrels, where our wines mature and acquiere nobility.

The optimal selection of the best oak, together with strict monitoring during an ageing that is carried out with wisdom and patience, have resulted in a GREAT WORK: complex reds – subtle, elegant yet concentrated, opulent, well-structured and full of nuances.

In accordance with the bodega’s style, when the casks reach their third year they are replaced with new ones.

In silence, we wait

After the harvest, the oenologist carefully takes over continuing the processes started in the vineyard.

Each of the further steps is closely watched until the wine finally reaches the oak casks where only time will finish the task.

During the process, the potentiality of the grape has been watched carefully, selecting grapes and doing long macerations.
