BENJAMÍN PÉREZ PASCUAS, ZARCILLO ORO 2013 AWARD.

 

 Benjamín Pérez Pascuas has been awarded as the best grapegrower in Castilla y León.

Regional Ministry of Farming and Ranching in Castilla y León has rewarded the great contribution of Benjamín Pérez Pascuas to develop new grapegrowing techniques and green farming in Ribera del Duero.

 The eldest brother , Benjamín, 83 years old, has always stood up for old vines, native grape and  local grapegrowing system, to produce top quality grapes.

 Pérez Pascuas brothers founded Bodegas Hnos. Pérez Pascuas in 1980 and today 33 years later, the family has 135 hectares of vineyard. Since the very beginning, its goal was to make premium red wine with its own grapes from old vine plants, showing the terroir and local grape on the wine to conquer the international market.

 The awards ceremony will take place in Valladolid, September 27th.
